Action Required – IP training opportunity with DPP support

Independent Prescribing within community pharmacy is central to the vision and strategy of CPSW. As part of this Swindon & Wiltshire community pharmacists have previously had the opportunity to have IP training and support from Medvivo as part of a fantastic HEE South pilot program called Teach and Treat.
We are now really excited to highlight that BSW ICB has agreed to extend this support, for the training of a cohort of ten Community Pharmacists to become Independent Prescribers from September 2024.
There has been a lot of interest in the training and we know that University places will be in short supply, so we are asking for expressions of interest to be sent to caroline.quinn2@nhs.net by Wednesday 24th April so that the ICB can start working through who to offer places to. To support your application please send (in not more than three hundred words) the reasons why you think that you should be selected for this opportunity.
Training will only be offered to those working regularly in BSW and they will try and spread the offer evenly across the system.
